The key concept behind this project is to create original and surreal illustrations
"keep it simple" during the screenprinting
process, and give bands some good quality shirts to sell on a limited budget.

T-shirt design realized for metal band DI'AUL.
Insipiration for this came straight from the devilish band's name and dark, heavy sound.
I wanted to represent some sort of human sacrifice, sticking to the
surreal vibe and graphic style of the previous designs.

Couch Dreamer (The Spezials t-shirt design)

T-shirt design realized for rock band The Spezials.
I came out with this while listening to their last single Crazy Gravity quick fire at night.
Despite that, the design is more connected to one of their previous songs called Horizontal Couch (video HERE), representing a violent dream of someone sleeping on a couch in his living room, with his black dog on his side.

Sakura Ray (Musashiden t-shirt design)

T-shirt design realized for experimental/progressive rock band Musashiden.
The giant black manta comes from Things to do in the desert when you’re dead lyrics (last song form the band’s first album low. - 2009), while the scissors and the matrioska dolls refers to the cut-up technique followed by the band while composing most of the songs, where inside big music segments shorter pieces of melodies develop in the background.
The fan with Musashi written in kanji, the first card of the Rorschach test and the dobermann portait are just the result of some sort of stream of consciousness.

Majestichanic (Koan t-shirt design)

T-shirt design realized for stoner-metal rock band Koan based in Pavia, Italy.
A composition of elements that don’t have much in common actually, but somehow reminds me of the heavy and aggressive atmosphere this band creates while playing live.

Carbuncola (Allan Glass t-shirt design)

T-shirt design realized for psychedelic-noise rock duo Allan Glass.
The surreal and disturbing composition as well as the title itself recall the huge and lancinating wall of sound they produce during live shows.
I decided to include a Speak & Spell (one of the many noise-producing devices they use on stage) in the design in order to lighten up the general dark atmosphere that hangs over the illustration.
